Marking the 60th anniversary of the “Nakba”, or “catastrophe,” Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Tuesday that the issue of the Palestinian refugees is “not less important than the issue of Jerusalem or the borders,” as Prime Minister Salam Fayyad told the Israeli people they had no cause to celebrate their country’s 60th anniversary while Palestinians continued to suffer under occupation.
